Why We Built Our Own Manufacturing Facility

There are over 6,000 supplement brands in the U.S.—but fewer than 100 actual manufacturing facilities. That means 98% of supplements on the market are made by third-party contractors, not by the brands themselves. Most of what you’re buying comes from marketing companies, not manufacturers.

After years of working with some of the so-called “best” contract manufacturers in the industry, we ran into repeated quality control issues—missed deadlines, label errors, inconsistent potency, and questionable sourcing.

So, we took matters into our own hands.

We built our own manufacturing facility, led by our Director of Manufacturing, who brings over 30 years of experience in dietary supplement formulation and production. Our facility is designed to make smaller batches more frequently, using state-of-the-art equipment and rigorous quality control—because freshness, precision, and trust matter.

We don’t just market supplements. We make them.

Small Batches, Made More Frequently with High Quality

All formulas are manufactured in the USA following Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in our family owned manufacturing facility in Arizona.

In March of 2025 we stopped using contract manufacturers because of numerous quality related issues we experienced over the years and started our own manufacturing facility; we have one of the best V-blenders on the market with an intensifier bar to ensure even mixing and distribution of micronutrients and two encapsulation presses safely contained in clean rooms as well as a high-tech powder filling line. 

We use an x-ray machine to test finished products as well as an inspection table to ensure every capsule meets our quality specifications. 

Why MYOXCIENCE and About the Founder:

In the early 2000's multiple research articles emerged linking the health of muscle with longevity. Diabetes is thought to begin within the muscle, researchers speculate.

In 2012 Mike Mutzel dreamed of creating a nutritional company, MYOXCIENCE, that would help people maintain and sustain their metabolic health and body composition (e.g. lose fat) by supporting the health of their muscle. 

For years Mike was a top sales rep for one of the nations leading practitioner lines, building sales territories in various states on the West Coast, Rocky Mountain Region, Midwest and Canada. The opportunity allowed him to work with some of largest names in the natural product space.  

After 12 years of successfully helping numerous doctors better implement clinical nutrition into their clinical practice, Mike followed his dream of creating his own supplement brand: MYOXCIENCE. 

MYOXCIENCE customers benefit from the unique skillset acquired from over a decade of working closely with practitioners using natural products in their clinics paired with years of experience on the actual custom manufacturing side.
